Pivot Bio Unveils New Customer Success Center, Championing Sustainable Agriculture in Iowa

Pivot Bio, a trailblazer in sustainable agriculture technology, has inaugurated its new 36,000-square-foot Customer Success Center at the Iowa State University Research Park. This significant development underscores the company's dedication to advancing microbial nitrogen solutions, offering farmers a viable alternative to synthetic fertilizers. The opening ceremony was graced by notable figures including Roger Underwood, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Pivot Bio; Wendy Wintersteen, President of Iowa State University; Chris Abbott, CEO of Pivot Bio; Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds; and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, highlighting the collaborative spirit underpinning this initiative.

The establishment of the Customer Success Center in Ames, Iowa, is not just a physical expansion but a strategic move that aligns with Iowa State's dynamic innovation ecosystem. It represents a $14 million investment by Pivot Bio, in partnership with ISU Research Park and Story Construction, to create a commercial and collaborative hub. This hub is poised to serve as a beacon of innovation, education, and partnership for farmers, researchers, and industry experts, fostering a unified approach to tackling the pressing challenges of crop nutrition and agricultural technology.

Designed to be a convening space, the center facilitates hands-on training and calibration for seed treatment equipment, supporting the scaling of Pivot Bio's PROVEN® 40 on-seed product. This groundbreaking product allows corn farmers to meet up to 25% of their nitrogen fertilizer needs directly through the seed, showcasing Pivot Bio's commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity while minimizing environmental impact.

Pivot Bio's partnership with Iowa State University has already yielded significant achievements, including a collaborative research study that demonstrated the potential of Pivot Bio's microbial nitrogen to increase biomass in corn plants. This collaboration not only contributes to healthier crops but also plays a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and synthetic nitrogen loss.

As Pivot Bio celebrates this milestone, CEO Chris Abbott emphasizes the center's role as more than just a building. It symbolizes a collective commitment to transforming agriculture for the better, focusing on optimizing crop inputs through innovative fertilizer solutions. The center is set to be a cornerstone in the journey towards a sustainable future for agriculture, prioritizing the success and sustainability of farming practices.

Pivot Bio stands at the forefront of sustainable agriculture, delivering patented crop nutrition technologies that leverage nature's power for more reliable and productive farming. With its products available in North America and soon in Brazil, Pivot Bio is revolutionizing the nitrogen market, providing weatherproof, environmentally friendly nitrogen solutions that do not leach or pollute. Recognized globally for its impactful innovations, Pivot Bio is reshaping how the world approaches crop nutrition, marking a new era in sustainable agriculture.
